Box 3: Today we saw that there was a nest with some unidentified green leaves layered on top of the nest. Sadly there were no eggs. The nest was made of small twigs. That's about all we saw and noticed.
Checking the boxes! Who was more surprised? Us? Or the bluebird? Box 1: Whoa! That bluebird flew right out of the box and past our faces! And? Eggs! Woo hoo! Five little blue eggs! We also heard a Northern Cardinal and we had a visitor... Box 3: We hope something hasn't taken over the bluebird nest! Box 2: Still nothing, which stinks because other people's boxes have nests. I wonder why we don't have one? Box 3: Today we saw that there was a nest with some unidentified green leaves layered on top of the nest. Sadly there were no eggs. The nest was made of small twigs. That's about all we saw and noticed. Box 4: FINALLY SOMETHING!!! Here's the scoop. We opened up the box, expecting nothing, but inside was a nest made of straw and "fuzz". Inside were 3 white eggs with brownish, orange-ish specks. We can't take out the nest because it might be another native bird's nest. It is illegal to mess with it. Yah!!! Finally!

Woohoo! Can you all come over to my yard? I am sure eggs are beginning to fill nests in the trees on our property. I've had so many varieties of birds visiting my feeders, I can't keep up with them. I think my favorite has been the downy woodpecker (My daughter thinks he/she was cheating by eating form the feeder!), though the bluejay who visited yesterday was gorgeous!

Yay for all the eggs! Very exciting! I'll have to check around and see what's brewing around our house. We've had robins several times and last year a cardinal who would scare us whenever we went near!

At my house in the front door's wreath, there is a bird's nest. We saw three eggs and and when we looked today, they were gone...to be replaced by the most adorable and fuzzy baby birds!

How exciting, DG!!! You had me there for a minute. I've forgotten... what kind of birds are they?
