The red tailed hawk is one of my favorite types of birds. They are symbols of illumination and peace. In some Native American traditions, the Red-tailed Hawk is a strong symbol of visionaries and spiritual messengers. I had one land on my shoulder for a few seconds when I was sitting very still. It was amazing.
